We are yet again delighted to announce further electrical IRT inspection works for Ensco PLC, the confirmed IRT (hot-spot) inspection is to begin in mid Novemeber on the ENSCO 5004 semi-submersible rig.
The rig is currently working for Mellitah Oil & Gas Co., through to July 2018, and currently located off the Libyan coast. This is Geo Therm Ltd’s fourth successive inspection on this mid-water floater.
This IRT inspection is an annual service requirement, to comply with the rigs comprehensive PM regime, and used to identify extreme component temperatures, (typicaly associated with failing equipment) to prevent power outages.
The ENSCO 5004 is a 3rd generation rig and is rated to drill in water depths of up to 1,500 ft. The MW floater is rated to achieve a maximum total drilling depth of approximately 25,000 ft. and can accommodate 120 crew members. The rig has an IMO number 8751033.
